BRITAIN – COOL PLACES TO VISIT

Whether you have a weekend, a week or just 24 hours, no matter where you are in Britain, you will find something interesting or fun to do close by or further afield. Despite being a small island, Britain is jam-packed full of places to explore neatly packaged within 8000 miles of coastline. We have it all: mountains, hills, castles, mines, oceans, beaches, islands, forests and people.

It doesn’t matter if you have your own transport, or you want to take a train, a coach or a boat, never let how you’ll get there stop you from getting there. Look out for special offers on transport and entrance fees.

My stories on this site span 20 years of travel around Britain. Many are from our 5-month trip in a motorhome. Others are trips and breaks staying mostly in self-catering accommodation including Airbnb more recently.
